Vegan Heaven: Cookies Soft as Clouds

It’s no secret that veganism has been on a steady rise not only in Florida, but all over the country. Due to this, we see more options becoming available, allowing vegans to enjoy burgers, bowls, and even cookie dough! For those who have a sweet tooth, check out these three vegan cookie shops in Miami, Orlando, and Tampa that are truly changing the game!

Courtney’s Cookies

Getting experimental in the kitchen is what gave rise to Courtney’s Cookies, a brand of vegan cookies in Miami that were created by Courtney, a Certified Holistic Health Coach. From there on out, she decided to open up her own business using only the highest-quality ingredients: organic, gluten-free, vegan, low-glycemic, and most importantly, “guilt-free!” Unique flavors include Raspberry Chocolate, Coconut Chocolate Chip, Sunflower Raisin and more. To make the deal even sweeter, she’s teamed up with Sweet Melody, an ice cream brand that serves vegan options like Mocha Almond Fudge, to offer ice cream sandwiches as well! While there isn’t an official shop for Courtney’s Cookies in Miami, you can find them at many locations throughout the area like Wayside Market, Small Tea, Love Life Café, and more. And if you prefer to enjoy the treats from the comfort of your home, they also deliver locally to addresses in Miami, and ship anywhere in the U.S.

Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC

Orlando has no shortage of vegan bakery options, but one that truly stands out is Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC. The bakery began in 2005, with its first location on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, NY, and it only grew from there. They’ve since been featured on Martha Stewart, Refinery 29, The Huffington Post, and many more. The owner, McKenna, decided to open the shop to focus on sweets lovers that are typically underserved in the food business: “people with gluten, dairy, egg, and soy sensitivities;” as well as kids with allergies. They pride themselves on researching and choosing all of their ingredients carefully, right down to their chocolates, food colorings, and sprinkles. Their mouthwatering cookies include Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Double Chocolate Chip, and Ginger Snap. They also offer cookie sandwiches with combos like Double Chocolate Chip with Mint Filling. For those dying to know where this foodie heaven is, it’s located at Walt Disney World® Disney Springs.

Stacy’s Gluten Free Goods

Stop at this shop to hit the sweet spot: Stacy’s Gluten Free Goods in Tampa is home to an array of vegan treats just waiting to please your taste buds! The owner, Stacy, grew up baking goodies on a small farm in Greensburg, PA. When she moved to Tampa, FL, her two-year-old son, Zachary, began to show symptoms of developmental delays. When the doctor suggested testing Zachary for food sensitivities, it was discovered that he was sensitive to gluten, wheat, dairy, and eggs. Inspired by her son’s new necessary diet change, she decided to open a shop full of allergen-free baked goods to help other families in similar situations. Today, Stacy’s Gluten Free Goods is as successful as ever! The scrumptious menu includes an array of intriguing cookie flavors like Key Lime, Veg n’ M’s, Gingersnap Crème, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, and others. The superb shop has two locations, one in the Carrollwood area, and one in South Tampa.
